Over 600 students and faculty advisers attended the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) 2010 National Collegiate Conference in St Louis, MO from March 25-27, 2010.  This year's event consisted of educational sessions, technology-focused contents, and lots of fun and networking for IT students around the nation.

As part of the event, ITK founder, Donny C. Shimamoto, CPA.CITP, spoke on the topic of IT Entrepreneurship & Key Perspectives for Success.  His session was designed to help students prepare to transition from school to the workplace and to help identify the key skills and attitudes that they would need to be successful in today's business environment.

Chris Tiffany, a student at a Wisconsin university and owner of his own computer consulting company, Lightning Mods Custom Computers: "It was a pleasure hearing [Donny] speak, and [he was] definitely the BEST speaker at the conference."

Dennis Swearingen, a non-traditional student from Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin, back in school making a career change after losing his job due to economic downtown also shared with Donny the discussion that he and his fellow students had on their drive back from from NCC: "...when we left to drive back to Wisconsin this morning, we agreed that yours was the best breakout session of the conference; you definitely made our attendance worthwhile."
